Located on the southern side of Mount Soledad this community has a variety of views from ranging from back country and hillsides to city lights and ocean and bay views. Soledad South was developed in the 1950’s when Nautilus Street was constructed from the ocean to the top of the mountain.
Mount Soledad was first used by famed pilot “Charles Lindberg” (the first man to solo across the Atlantic) as his location to fly gliders from.
