Muirlands

This area first saw construction of its residential community begin in the early 1920’s.  One of the first roads constructed was the Old Muirlands Drive which was a windy road to the top of La Jolla.  On the west side you can see Mount Soledad and if you look real hard you will find the old original gutters which were built back in the 1920’s with actual ocean pebbles.

The large lots in the Muirlands originally sold in the late 1920’s for a record real estate price then of around $2,000 a lot.
